FAQ's
How long does PPF last?
We mainly use STEK PPF materials, with the right care these are designed to last you up to 10 years. You’re covered under warranty too.
Does PPF yellow or discolour over time?
Nope! STEK is made with materials that resist UV damage and yellowing—so it stays clear and clean-looking for years.
Can PPF be removed?
Yes, it can. If you ever want it taken off, we can safely remove it without damaging the paint underneath as long as it’s from factory.
Does it actually stop scratches and stone chips?
Absolutely. PPF acts like a shield—taking the hits so your paint doesn’t have to. Light scratches even heal themselves with a bit of heat or sunlight.
Is this the same as ceramic coating?
Not quite. Ceramic coatings add slickness and make cleaning easier, but they don’t stop rock chips or scratches. PPF is a physical barrier—and you can even do both for full protection.
Can I wash and wax my car with PPF installed?
Yes! Just wash it like normal with gentle products, We recommend using pH-neutral soaps. No brush car washes though!
Keep jet washes at least 30cm away and be careful around edges.
STEK films have a built-in hydrophobic layer, so water and dirt should slide right off.
Will PPF change the appearance of my car?
Only for the better. It’s nearly invisible on gloss finishes, but STEK also offers matte, carbon fiber, and even color-change films if you want something more custom.
How long does it take to install PPF?
We ask for your car for 5 days (Monday-Friday), this gives time for the PPF to cure properly before you drive it away.
Is PPF worth the investment?
Short answer? Yes—It preserves resale value, saves you money on paint repairs, and keeps your car looking pristine for years.
Can interior parts be done too?
We can PPF the inside your car too, especially if you have touch screens you can protect them from unsightly scratches!
